Nakano’s products are produced for hair designers at salons in Japan. Nakano Styling Wax series range from 1 to 7 in order of strength. Nakano Styling Wax 7 is the toughest of the series, giving you the hold that lasts for a long time.

Nakano was established by biologist Koichi Nakano in 1957 in Kyoto. Nakano Styling Wax was introduced in 1996 and has a cult following among hair design enthusiasts in Japan as well as overseas. All Nakano’s products including its styling wax series are made in Japan.

Nakano Styling Wax series’ major competitions are Gatsby Moving Rubber by Mandam and Cool Grease by Sakamoto Koseido, both of which are made in Japan, too.
