Using subsoil water in the Aso region and made with carefully selected local non-GMF barley, rice and salt, this product is additive-free, mild taste miso with thoroughly ripe wheat. Enjoy the deep umami and barley and rice fragrance. Founded in 1751 and headed by the 10th generation Taku Yamauchi, Yamauchi Umeya has produced award winning miso paste and miso-related products for over 240 years.
