The 2014 Sochi Olympic Gold Medalist Yuzuru Hanyu broke two more of his own world records to win his third consecutive Grand Prix Final title in Barcelona on Saturday 13 December. He scored a record of 219.48 for his free skates, receiving a record total of 330.43 that shattered the world record of 322.40 points he set only two weeks earlier at the NHK Trophy in Tokyo. Hanyu was the first skater ever to break the 300-total points barrier. World champion Javier Fernandez came in second place, receiving his personal best total score of 292.95, followed by Japan’s Shoma Uno earning third place with 276.79.
